"Even though the roads are rough, and a little hair-raising at times, the drivers are obviously well experienced professionals, safe, courteous and capable. " —TripAdvisor Reviews of Rainbow Photo Tours
I thoroughly enjoyed Robin's
Bhutan tour. The guides and Bhutanese people in general were very friendly and
helpful. I especially enjoyed the private dance festivals and cultural
experiences arranged for the tour. Driving around in a car instead of a bus and
being able to stop when we wanted was also great. Robin and Jeff were very
helpful in pointing out photo ops, setting up interesting shots and holding
reflectors and off camera flashes.
Nikon D3s
Nikon D700
Nikon 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200
lenses
Sigma 85mm F1.4 and 16mm
fisheye lenses
Tripod, 3 Pocket Wizards - 1 Mini
and 2 Flex, Nikon SB700 flashes, reflector and portable softbox.
I used all the gear I brought
except the fisheye. I regret not using the fisheye, especially after I saw
David's great shot of butter lamps. In retrospect, I also wish I remembered to
use the reflector and off camera flash much more.
