“Best Bhutan adventure with Rainbow Tours”
On two occasions people had recommended Rainbow Photo Tours when they learned we were planning to go to Bhutan. We have traveled to China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia, Europe, Africa, etc. and this tour is by far the best we have ever been on.
I am a professional photographer and having the luxury of our own large comfortable SUV with driver and personal guide gave me the flexibility I require. How much we appreciated being able to shout, "stop!" going and stopping wherever we desired.
Many of the others carried just their point-and-shoot cameras and they got to see and do just as much as the pros with no lengthy lectures or workshops to slow us down. The guides and drivers all spoke excellent English. Each day we rotated suvs and drivers with our fellow travelers and got to know all the guides and drivers personally.
The hotels and meals were top notch. Rainbow prices their tours very reasonably and there were no extra fees or surprises. Our tour director has been to Bhutan 27 times and he was able to arrange our own private mini-festivals thereby avoiding the huge crowds at the government-sponsored festivals—this provided us with many opportunities for close-ups and personal cultural exchanges. It's a wonderful tour and I would recommend that you give it a try.
